Webinar - Parenting and Domestic Violence Orders (DVOs)

Join this practical, insightful and interactive lunchtime webinar, led by Danielle Forward, Senior Associate and Practice Leader - Bayside, Australian Family Lawyers.

This webinar will:
  • Assist families, practitioners, support workers and interested community members to understand what actually can happen with care arrangements when a DVO is in place, with or without the children named on the order;
  • Explore the best interests of the child through the application of the Family Law Act, in a manner that prioritises the safety and psychological wellbeing of children and their carers.
  • Discuss parental decision-making arrangements, including what sole decision-making responsibility entails and the circumstances in which a court is likely to order it.
  • Explain what is a breach that the court would consider and how contravention applications work if a parent breaches an order.

With more than a decade of exclusive experience in family law, Danielle Forward is known for her empathetic, strategic, and practical approach. She holds a dual degree in Law and Justice from Queensland University of Technology and a Master of Laws (Family Law) from the College of Law, and is admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
